I googled “quotes about closets” the other day. I had something in my head that now I’m pretty sure I made up but I came across this quote from Kate Spade: “Playing dress up begins at age five, and never truly ends.” This is probably a made up quote and someone just threw Kate Spade’s name on it but I still love it. I’m hoping Stella loves playing dress ups as much as I did and I wanted to make sure room is her happy place.

I mentioned in Week 1 that the guest room makeover is actually a phased approach for Stella’s Big Girl Room. (See you in the Fall? JK. But maybe…) Keeping that in mind, everything I’m doing has to work now but also for the future design.

This week was another rollercoaster. I finished putting decals up in the closet. It took FOREVER and years off my life. But I dig it.

I still have to rub-n-buff the rod (that’s what she said), remove the track, and do some paint touch-up but it’s getting there.

This week I also fixed the broken dresser drawer (sort of), found curtains for the last window, and spent three hours steam cleaning a rug that I’m not going to end up using. The joys of FBMP. I broke down and ordered one from Etsy so fingers crossed it gets here on time. I’m hopeful but not counting on it.
